SPRINGFIELD – Two people were injured in a two-car crash, which trapped a woman inside a vehicle.
The two victims were brought to a local hospital by ambulance. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available, said Fire Capt. Brian Tetreault, head of the Arson and Bomb Squad.
Firefighters responded to the crash, that occurred near 1057 Boston Road, at 5:09 a.m. They extricated the woman who was trapped in a red Nissan Sentra. That car collided with a white Honda Civic, he said.
The Springfield Police Department is investigating the crash, Tetreault said.
